Ricky Hobbs-was a friend of the family and rumored to be an intimate friend of Gertrude.  He carved the words “I’m a prostitute and proud of it” on Sylvia’s stomach

Coy Hubbard-Stephanie Baniszewski’s boyfriend. Coy would practice his judo moves on Sylvia..would flip her to the ground, punch her in the face and head…bang her head against the basement walls.

The tub where Sylvia was forced into after her hands and feet tied. Scalding water burned her skin where it started to peel off her body….according to Jenny her sister, this was done every other day.  Sylvia’s screams could be heard as far as 4 houses down the street.

Paula Baniszewski one of the worst of Sylvia’s torturers.  She hit Sylvia so hard in the face that she fractured her hand and had to get a cast…she also beat Sylvia with her cast. Would throw objects at Sylvia’s head and face…pull her off a chair by her hair.  Give her scalding baths. Merciless beatings.

Paula served a short prison sentence and was released. She moved and changed her name. Rumor is that she lives on a farm, married with children.
