Yesterday I decide to upgrade my website software to the latest version…I usually do not do this because I am not a fan of change…being repetitive is a comfort zone for me…I can do the same exact thing for the next 20 years and be just as happy as the first day….so changing things makes me very uneasy…so you might be wondering why I upgraded then….simple, I knew it was the right thing to do and I could hear John nagging in my head explaining the importance of upgrades….I then wanted to feel cool telling John I upgraded….

The upgrade button appears on the dashboard and had been sitting there for awhile…I wish I just had ignored it, but I felt a bit frisky and clicked the button. I hate those wild hair moments….

Once the upgrade was complete I went to the site and to my horror I noticed most of my stuff was now gone…I am now left with having to put it back together….you might notice all of my menus have changed and 98% of my pages are missing. I spent most of yesterday rebuilding. I needed John at one point to paste code for me, I didnt have the patience to look thru that nightmare…but apparently I copied the code wrong and when John put it in it actually erased the entire site….John then had to work on it from his computer…I now own him like a million favors for this..which of course I know exactly what the favors will be…

I had been shopping around town for nail art supplies and was pretty discouraged. Even Sallys did not have much to choose from…and what they did have was very over priced in my opinion. I then decided to take my shopping online and my first stop was amazon..I found a lot of stuff, glitters, rhinestones etc at decent prices…I was ready to place my order when I had the thought to check out ebay…wow what a find! I found everything I had been looking for and then some..yet the best part were the prices…and most sellers did not charge a shipping fee. Rhinestone wheels with around 2000 stones cost just a few dollars and no shipping….needless to say I spent a lot of money. Within a week I received all of my purchases, most of which was shipped from Hong Kong.

The pictures do not show the amount of detail that you can see in person…they shimmer, shine and twinkle just beautifully….

I am going to start displaying all of my different designs along with all of the supplies I use and where I’ve found them for anyone who might be interested…

I also came across a pretty cool nail design called Aqua Nails….they are o the order of a snow globe effect…here is an instructional video

No Knead Ciabatta

Watch Video How to Make

For those who love Ciabatta bread but hates to spend the nearly $4.00 a loaf to buy it….why not try making it yourself…it’s so simple to do. Best of all it costs only pennies to make.

Not only can you make great sandwiches with it but you can also make garlic bread, or slice it length wise and make pizza…adding any kind of topping you would like….the options are endless.

Here is the recipe

4 cups flour

1/4 tsp yeast

2 cups warm water

1 1/2 tsp salt

Mix together in a bowl, it will first seem dry, then seem too wet, but will come together beautifully…I mix this with a spatula….cover with tin foil and let rise for 18 hours.

Next step

Wet counter with a sponge and lay down a piece of saran wrap, this will keep the saran from moving around. Then flour the saran, turn dough on top….sprinkle flour on the dough and gently form your loaf. Once formed to your liking, carefully pick up the saran and transfer to your baking sheet….make sure to sprinkle your baking sheet with corn meal first so that your loaf doesnt stick.

Cover your loaf with a dry towel and allow it to rise 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 425 and bake for 35 minutes

The verdict has been rendered, but the case of Tonya Craft is far from over. Her attorneys filed documents in Hamilton county to get visitation and ultimately custody of her children.

She will appear on Larry King Wednesday night with her defense team and several local reporters.
Craft also told the Today audience Wednesday morning that we’ll see much more of her lobbying on the issue of the proper interviewing of young molestation victims.
Plus, Ringgold won’t get over the trial soon either.
WDEF News 12′s Mandy Odom has more on that in our top local story.
Kimberly Johnson says, “I am glad it’s over.”
Most people in Ringgold feel that way after Tonya Craft’s 22 day long trial.
The former teacher proclaimed her innocence against the child molestation charges which brought national media coverage to the normally quiet city.
Many people said they were pleased with the not guilty verdict.
Rick Noak says, “I think justice was serviced.”
Rick Noak thinks Craft was railroaded.
He says it’s shocking that an innocent person could have to go through all of this.
Noak says, “I think definitely there should be an investigation, and I think if I was that lady I would make some kind of a civil lawsuit or something like that to recoup all my money. And then all the county ought to go after them women too and get the county’s money back.”
Joel Bouchard says, “Truly if she was not guilty, then shame on the people who brought this. Who did this witch hunt. And shame on them not only for her, but the children as well and what they had to go through.”
Off camera, other people who know some of the accusers worry about the children and their families.
Kimberly Johnson has worked in the school system for 10 years, and she thinks it was just a child who miscommunicated and it grew into this.
She says, “It makes us look ignorant, and we’re not.”
Johnson says the trial was hard all around; on Tonya Craft, the children and their families, and even the school system.
She doesn’t blame anyone for this.
Johnson says, “I think that it wasn’t intentional, if there was, like the way that they interviewed the children, but I think that they just need a lot more education on how to do it.”
Johnson hopes that will happen creating some good from the bad.
In Ringgold, Mandy Odom, WDEF News 12.
So where is the prosecution after all of this?
We’ve heard from everyone, but the people who brought the case against Tonya Craft.
Tuesday night, Chris Arnt and Len Gregor avoided the media after the verdict, and District Attorney Buzz Franklin is also denying interview requests.
They do have questions to answer.
Craft’s attorney said he has talked to both the FBI and US Attorney’s Office.
He said there were sloppy interviews, fraudulent evidence, and corrupt judicial process in the case.

NEW YORK (CBS) Tonya Craft, the Georgia kindergarten teacher found not guilty of molesting three preschool girls, says that she is a victim of personal grudges and a broken legal system. But now that her two-year ordeal is over, she says she will dedicate herself to seeing that what happened to her doesn’t happen to anyone else.

“It’s not about my story, it’s about the kids’ stories and what they go through in this,” Craft told reporters at a press conference Tuesday in Catoosa County, Ga. She said that now her focus will be “other people who are falsely accused. And I’ll do anything I can to help protect them and to help protect the children of the falsely accused.”

Craft emphasized that her three accusers were as much victims of the past two years as she was, just not in the way that some people thought. Craft and her lawyers say the children, including her own daughter, were manipulated into making the allegations against Craft by mothers with whom she had had a falling out, according to an interview with “The Today Show” on Wednesday.

Craft says that the trouble began when two little girls were caught touching each other. Craft said that their outraged mothers punished the girls and demanded to know how they learned about touching each other. Under questioning, during which Craft says the mothers suggested her name to the girls, the girls eventually told the story about being touched by Craft at several slumber parties at her house, located in the northwest corner of the state, between Aug. 2005 and May 2007, according to the morning program.

Demosthenes Lorandos, one of Craft’s attorneys, says those flames were fanned by a judicial system that was quick to condemn his client. Lorandos told reporters at a post verdict press conference that his client has had to endure a lot at the hands of a “corrupt judicial process.”

“Sloppy interviews…ridiculous last minute falsified fraudulent evidence, [and] terrible interviews of children,” Lorandos told reporters. “[Craft] endured it all. She will continue to endure it all.”

Craft says that what she wants most is to be reunited with her two children, who she lost custody of when she was arrested in 2007. She was able to have brief supervised visits with her son, 11, but hasn’t seen her daughter in over two years. That’s because her daughter was one of the three girls who accused her, and testified in court against her.

“My own daughter. That was the absolute hardest thing I’ve ever experienced, because my job as a mother is to protect her,” Craft told the Today Show. “There obviously was no anger toward her. It absolutely broke my heart to see that my daughter had been pretty much indoctrinated to believe things that weren’t true.”

Tonya Craft says she’ll seek immediate custody of her children

After the final “not guilty” was read in the Tonya Craft child molestation case at the Catoosa County Courthouse Tuesday, the mindset of Craft and her defense team quickly shifted into “one down and one to go” mode.

Now that she has been acquitted of all charges, Craft says she will seek immediate custody of her two children.

Defense attorney Clancy Covert said Tuesday night that he and the rest of the team would get the ball rolling as soon as possible in regards to Craft’s visitation of her two children being reinstated. She lost custody when she was arrested. She has been able to visit her son but not her daughter.

“We are going to file the paperwork first thing tomorrow morning in Hamilton County with Judge Marie Williams, and hopefully we will be able to get things situated as soon as possible,” Covert said Tuesday night.

Covert, along with defense attorneys Scott and Cary King, confirmed the custody plans late Tuesday evening while the three were guests on UCTV’s “Night Talk” show, which broadcasts from Fort Oglethorpe.

Craft said in her news conference on Tuesday she intended on making up for the last two birthdays she has missed in her daughter’s life in the wake of the allegations.

Craft defense team to appear tonight on “Larry King Live”

As media coverage of the Tonya Craft case continues, three members of her four-man defense team are confirmed for tonight’s CNN “Larry King Live.”

Defense attorneys Clancy Covert, Cary S. King and Scott King will join King tonight to offer insight into the case, which saw Craft acquitted of all 22 counts of child molestation against three young girls.

Craft’s attorneys will be joined on the program by local journalist Dennis Norwood of thechattanoogan.com, as well as Kevin West from Chattanooga radio station WGOW 102.3.

The five men confirmed for the interview will join the show via satellite from the show’s local affiliate, with the possibility of Craft and her lead attorney Demosthenes Lorandos joining King on set since they are already in New York City.

The show will air at 9 p.m.

Craft, her husband and Lorandos appeared live this morning on NBC’s “Today” show

“Falsely Accused of Child Molestation . . . One Woman’s Story”

READ HERE: Truth for Tonya

Tonya Henke Craft, a kindergarten teacher at Chickamauga Elementary School in Chickamauga, GA has been arrested and charged with four counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

The alleged victims are three female students at Chickamauga Elementary and investigators say that the crimes occurred between between 2005 and May 2007.

The alleged crimes are said to have occurred in Craft’s home and involved Craft fondling and digitally penetrating the little girls.

Craft turned herself into the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office after warrants were issued for her arrest. Her attorney says his client adamantly denies the charges, and says she was never given the opportunity by the sheriff’s office to tell her side of the story.

Following her arrest and booking, Craft was released on $50,000 bond.

Reportedly Craft’s arrest report implicates a juvenile suspect in the molestation of at least one victim. Authorities are investigating whether the juvenile suspect may also be a victim.

WATCH: Video

A string of defense witnesses on the 14th day of the Tonya Craft molestation trial on Wednesday said they saw no indication that any of the children who now claim she molested them had disliked her in the past.

The jury in Ringgold heard testimony from five more of Ms. Craft’s friends and former co-workers.

Meanwhile, the trial is starting to get national attention. NBC News Correspondent Michelle Kosinski was at the trial and her report was featured Thursday morning.

Former first grade teacher Kim Parvin, when given the definition of a narcissist by ADA Len Gregor, responded, “That would not make Tonya a narcissist. She’s an athlete. I’m a runner, I guess that would make me a narcissist.”

Ms. Parvin was the third witness called by the Craft defense team Wednesday morning. Atlanta attorney Cary King handled the direct examination of the witnesses, while ADA Gregor was up for the prosecution.

Ms. Parvin also testified that she had taught two of the alleged victims in her first grade classroom at Chickamauga Elementary School.

She described the first child that disclosed the allegations as bright and intelligent and an average first grader.

Asked by Mr. king if she ever noticed the child acting depressed, the vivacious witness answered, “No.”

As to knowing the child’s mother, she testified to the jury that early in the 2006-2007 school year the mom went to the principal because of concerns that Ms. Parvin did not like her. She further said that it surprised her somewhat in that it was about the mom and not the daughter.

The former teacher, now a stay-at-home mom, said that they had moved past this and had developed a good relationship.

As part of her writing curriculum, Ms. Parvin had the children keep a journal for that school year. She could not recall ever seeing anything written by the girl and (another alleged victim) that said they hated Ms. Craft or that they were afraid of her.

Mr. King asked, “Did (the mom) ever talk to you about (girl)’s sexual experiences?” “No, sir.”

“Did (mom) ever come to you about any problems the daughter was having at home?” “No, she did not.”

The defense counsel asked about the former teacher’s experience and knowledge of small children masturbating in her classroom. She provided a list of ways that children could do this, especially little girls. Ms. Parvin also stated that she had never observed the girl in question doing this.

She also told the jury of many occasions where the girls had gone back to Ms. Craft’s classroom after they had moved to the first grade and they had done so without any reservations whatsoever.

Still under direct examination by Mr. Covert, Ms. Parvin stated she had never seen (name withheld) show up to school with red marks or bruises nor had the girl complained about her privates or bottom hurting.

Bringing up another of the children involved in this case, she stated that (name withheld) was also in her class and that she was in therapy at the time. Ms. Parvin became worried about her academically and met with her mom.

Her mom made a decision to take her out of therapy and at that point the girl began to do much better in school. Her therapist had been Lori Evans at the CAC.

The former teacher also said that the girl had not made any entries into her journal about hating or feeling uncomfortable around Ms. Craft. There was nothing about sexual abuse or bad touches, either, she related.

Mr. King’s direct exam ended with a question about whether or not (one of the moms) had contacted her prior to the school board meeting held to decide whether or not to terminate Ms. Craft. Apparently Ms. Parvin had been seen giving the accused a hug and the mom “wanted to know what that was about.” She said she told the mom that “I hugged her because she looked like she needed a hug. It had nothing to do with whether I thought she was guilty or innocent.”

Under cross-examination by ADA Gregor, Ms. Parvin told the jury that she did not have connections with Ms. Craft outside the school.

She also reiterated to the prosecution her opinion that all three girls were bright and intelligent, happy little girls.

Asked this question about child abuse, “If a child says they’ve been molested, it’s a pretty good indication that the child has been molested, right?” she responded with “If the child has been told by an adult what molestation is.”

At that point Mr. Gregor asked his question concerning narcissism.

The other four witnesses were also former co-workers of Ms. Craft. They all testified that they were all acquainted with the defendant as well as the alleged victims and their families.

The witnesses making an appearance were: Cindy Coulter, first grade teacher at Chickamauga Elementary School; Ms. Parvin; Nancy Gurganes, former principal at Chickamauga Elementary School; and, Connie Templeton-Fouts, retired school secretary.

They each identified the little girls who have accused the defendant as happy, bright, intelligent and communicative.

They were all familiar with the TruthforTonya website although none had posted or donated to the site, which the prosecution had referred to as a “self-promoting” site. Later Mr. King referred to the Facebook sites of Mr. Arnt and Mr. Gregor as “self-promoting.” Mr. Arnt took his site down after it was pointed out that he had posted comments pertaining to the Craft trial and the members of the defense team.

Read Letters: Jail house letters

Did Casey Anthony tell a jailhouse friend a detail only her daughter’s killer would know?

Not long after remains of 2-year-old Caylee were found in December 2008, Anthony told fellow inmate Robyn Adams that investigators found the bones in a black garbage bag with a baby blanket.

That last detail — the baby blanket — wasn’t public knowledge at the time.

“Casey Anthony had knowledge of items only the suspect, certain law enforcement personnel and the certain medical examiner’s personnel knew,” an Orange County sheriff’s detective wrote in a report that was among more than 500 pages released Tuesday.

Among the documents were copies of dozens of jailhouse letters Anthony wrote Adams while the two were incarcerated in the Orange County Jail.

They provide the first public insight into what Anthony has been doing, who she has been talking to and her state of mind in the months since her arrest in 2008.

She addressed Adams as “Cookie” and signed off with a nickname, “Muffin.” Her choice of topics, written in a tall, up-and-down script, range from the lighthearted to the serious:

•Planning an RV trip with Adams.

•Complaining about her mother not showing up to see her in court.

•Accusations of sexual abuse.

•Her faith in God.

•Her desire to brush up on her Spanish.

•The struggles of being a single mother living at home with her parents.

A recurring issue for Anthony was her assertion that she has been misrepresented and misunderstood.

“That’s one of the biggest things that truly cuts me when I hear them talk about me as a mother — I was a great mom! And I love my daughter with everything that I have. I would give my life to have her back even for 5 minutes. It’s so frustrating,” she wrote in one undated letter.

The State Attorney’s Office released the material as part of the first-degree murder case against Anthony, 24, who is accused of killing Caylee. The toddler’s remains were found near her family’s home, five months after she was reported missing.

Anthony told Adams, a drug dealer who is has now serving time in federal prison, that she used to give Caylee something to help her sleep so Anthony could go out at night, according to investigators’ interview with Adams.

In a transcript released, an investigator asked Adams whether Anthony admitted using chloroform on her daughter. Lab tests turned up chloroform in the trunk of a car Anthony used.

Adams talked about Anthony using cold medications and antihistamines, but said the young mother was not specific about what she used to “knock her out.”

But the summary of the interview written by Detective Yuri Melich reported something different.

Certainly couples should be open and honest with each other, but in reality, most men don't share everything with their wives. Here are some examples, as well as why this is good for your relationship.

I came across this article and wanted to share it here…

I was in the ninth grade when I learned a vital lesson about love. My girlfriend at the time, Amy, was stunningly cute, frighteningly smart and armed with a seemingly endless supply of form-fitting angora sweaters. And me? Let’s just say I was well aware of my good fortune.

Then one day, as we stood in line for a movie at the mall, Simone Shaw, junior high prom queen, sauntered by. Suddenly Amy turned to me. “Were you looking at her?” she asked. “Do you think she’s pretty?”

My mind reeled. Of course I was looking at her! Of course she was pretty! My God, she was Simone Shaw! I paused for a second, then decided to play it straight.

“Well, yeah,” I chortled.

Five days later our breakup hit the tabloids (a.k.a. the lunchroom).

There comes a time in every man’s life when he discovers the value of hiding the grosser parts of his nature. He starts reciting the sweet nothings you long to hear: “No, honey, I play golf for the exercise.” “No, honey, I think you’re a great driver.” “No, honey, I wasn’t looking at that coed washing the car in the rain.”

We’re not lying, exactly. We’re just making things…easier. But Glenn Good, Ph.D., a relationship counselor, disagrees, and maybe he has a point. “These white lies are pretty innocent, but they can turn confusing,” he says. “Many women think, If he’s lying about himself, is he also lying about something else? Is he having an affair? To establish trust you have to tell the truth about the innocuous stuff.”

And so, in the interest of uniting the sexes, we’ve scoured the country for guys willing to share the private truths they wouldn’t normally confess. Some are a bit crass. Some you’ve always suspected. Some are surprisingly sweet. (Guys don’t like to reveal the mushy stuff, either.) But read on, and you may discover that the truth about men isn’t all that ugly.

Secret #1: Yes, we fall in lust 10 times a day — but it doesn’t mean we want to leave you

If the oldest question in history is “What’s for dinner?” the second oldest is “Were you looking at her?” The answer: Yes — yes, we were. If you’re sure your man doesn’t look, it only means he possesses acute peripheral vision.

“When a woman walks by, even if I’m with my girlfriend, my vision picks it up,” says Doug LaFlamme, 28, of Laguna Hills, California. “I fight the urge to look, but I just have to. I’m really in trouble if the woman walking by has a low-cut top on.”

Granted, we men are well aware that our sizing up the produce doesn’t sit well with you, given that we’ve already gone through the checkout line together. But our passing glances pose no threat.

“It’s not that I want to make a move on her,” says LaFlamme. “Looking at other women is like a radar that just won’t turn off.”

Secret #2: We actually do play golf to get away from you

More than 21 million American men play at least one round of golf a year; of those, an astounding 75 percent regularly shoot worse than 90 strokes a round. In other words, they stink. The point is this: “Going golfing” is not really about golf. It’s about you, the house, the kids — and the absence thereof.

“I certainly don’t play because I find it relaxing and enjoyable,” admits Roland Buckingham, 32, of Lewes, Delaware, whose usual golf score of 105 is a far-from-soothing figure. “As a matter of fact, sometimes by the fourth hole I wish I were back at the house with the kids screaming. But any time I leave the house and don’t invite my wife or kids — whether it’s for golf or bowling or picking up roadkill — I’m just getting away.”

Secret #3: We’re unnerved by the notion of commitment, even after we’ve made one to you

This is a dicey one, so first things first: We love you to death. We think you’re fantastic. Most of the time we’re absolutely thrilled that we’ve made a lifelong vow of fidelity to you in front of our families, our friends and an expensive videographer.

But most of us didn’t spend our formative years thinking, “Gosh, I just can’t wait to settle down with a nice girl so we can grow old together.” Instead we were obsessed with how many women who resembled Britney Spears we could have sex with before we turned 30. Generally it takes us a few years (or decades) to fully perish that thought.

Secret #4: Earning money makes us feel important

In more than 7.4 million U.S. marriages, the wife earns more than the husband — almost double the number in 1981. This of course is a terrific development for women in the workplace and warmly embraced by all American men, right? Right?

Yeah, well, that’s what we tell you. But we’re shallow, competitive egomaniacs. You don’t think it gets under our skin if our woman’s bringing home more bacon than we are — and frying it up in a pan?

“My wife and I are both reporters at the same newspaper,” says Jeffrey Newton, 33, of Fayetteville, South Carolina. “Five years into our marriage I still check her pay stub to see how much more an hour I make than she does. And because she works harder, she keeps closing the gap.”

Secret #5: Though we often protest, we actually enjoy fixing things around the house

I risk being shunned at the local bar if this magazine finds its way there, because few charades are as beloved by guys as this one. To hear us talk, the Bataan Death March beats grouting that bathroom shower. And, as 30-year-old Ed Powers of Chicago admits, it’s a shameless lie. “In truth, it’s rewarding to tinker with and fix something that, without us, would remain broken forever,” he says. Plus we get to use tools.

“The reason we don’t share this information,” Powers adds, “is that most women don’t differentiate between taking out the trash and fixing that broken hinge; to them, both are tasks we need to get done over the weekend, preferably during the Bears game. But we want the use-your-hands, think-about-the-steps-in-the-process, home-repair opportunity, not the repetitive, no-possibility-of-a-compliment, mind-dulling, purely physical task.” There. Secret’s out.

Secret #6: We like it when you mother us, but we’re terrified that you’ll become your mother

With apologies to Sigmund Freud, Gloria Steinem — and my mother-in-law.

Secret #7: Every year we love you more

Sure, we look like adults. We own a few suits. We can probably order wine without giggling. But although we resemble our father when he was our age, we still feel like that 4-year-old clutching his pant leg.

With that much room left on our emotional-growth charts, we sense we’ve only begun to admire you in the ways we will when we’re 40, 50 and — God forbid — 60. We can’t explain this to you, because it would probably come out sounding like we don’t love you now.

“It took at least a year before I really started to appreciate my wife for something other than just great sex; and I didn’t discover her mind fully until the third year we were married,” says Newton. “But the older and wiser I get, the more I love my wife.” Adds J.P. Neal, 32, of Potomac, Maryland: “The for-richer-or-poorer, for-better-or-worse aspects of marriage don’t hit you right away. It’s only during those rare times when we take stock of our life that it starts to sink in.”

Secret #8: We don’t really understand what you’re talking about

You know how, during the day, you sometimes think about certain deep, complex “issues” in your relationship? Then when you get home, you want to “discuss” these issues? And during these “discussions,” your man sits there nodding and saying things like “Sure, I understand,” “That makes perfect sense” and “I’ll do better next time”?

Well, we don’t understand. It doesn’t make any sense to us at all. And although we’d like to do better next time, we could only do so if, in fact, we had an idea of what you’re talking about.

We do care. Just be aware that the part of our brain that processes this stuff is where we store sports trivia.

Secret #9: We are terrified when you drive

Want to know how to reduce your big, tough guy to a quivering mass of fear? Ask him for the car keys.

“I am scared to death when she drives,” says LaFlamme.

“Every time I ride with her, I fully accept that I may die at any moment,” says Buckingham.

“My wife has about one ‘car panic’ story a week — and it’s never her fault. All these horrible things just keep happening — it must be her bad luck,” says Andy Beshuk, 31, of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Even if your man is too diplomatic to tell you, he is terrified that you will turn him into a crash-test dummy.

Secret #10: We’ll always wish we were 25 again

Granted, when I was 25 I was working 16-hour days and eating shrimp-flavored Ramen noodles six times a week. But as much as we love being with you now, we will always look back fondly on the malnourished freedom of our misguided youth. “Springsteen concerts, the ’91 Mets, the Clinton presidency — most guys reminisce about the days when life was good, easy and free of responsibility,” says Rob Aronson, 41, of Livingston, New Jersey, who’s been married for 11 years. “At 25 you can get away with things you just can’t get away with at 40.”

While it doesn’t mean we’re leaving you to join a rock band, it does explain why we occasionally come home from Pep Boys with a leather steering-wheel cover and a Born to Run CD.

Secret #11: Give us an inch and we’ll give you a lifetime

I was on a trip to Mexico, standing on a beach, waxing my surfboard and admiring the glistening 10-foot waves, when I decided to marry the woman who is now my wife. Sure, this was three years before I got around to popping the question. But that was when I knew.

Why? Because she’d let me go on vacation alone. Hell, she made me go. This is the most important thing a man never told you: If you let us be dumb guys, if you embrace our stupid poker night, if you encourage us to go surfing — by ourselves — our silly little hearts, with their manly warts and all, we’ll embrace you forever for it.

And that’s the truth.

Secrets All Women Keep

We women are well aware that most of the time we’re a profound mystery to men. And for the most part, we like it that way. But the thought has occurred to just about every woman: Would it really be so bad if he knew _________ about me? Wouldn’t it help him understand me better? And more importantly, Wouldn’t he annoy me less if he knew what I really wanted?

So for the benefit of women everywhere (and for your benefit too, guys—remember, a happy woman makes for a much happier man), we’re going to let men in on a little of what really makes us tick, deep down. Read on for 11 near-universal secrets of womankind. Some may shock you, others may be things you’ve suspected for a long time (but never had the nerve to ask about). But know this: the woman in your life? She’s hiding more secrets than these, including a few you’d never imagine. Lucky you—you get to spend a lifetime learning them all.

1. Everything we buy for ourselves—shoes, a skirt, even just stuff from the drugstore—really costs 20 percent more than we tell you it did.
Just because it’s a classic sitcom plot doesn’t mean it isn’t true. “Sometimes I’ll buy an outfit and charge half of it on our credit card and pay for the other half in cash so my husband doesn’t know what I’m actually spending,” admits one 32-year-old, who requested anonymity to protect her sneaky secret. Yeah, we know honesty is the best policy, hiding your spending habits is bad, blah blah blah. But sometimes we just don’t want the hassle of arguing over the price of the fancy shampoo. Is that so wrong? We don’t think so.

2. We actually think about sex—with you!—a lot.
Sometimes we think about it all day long. It’s just that by the end of the day we’re too damn tired to do anything about it. Now, if you could only catch us at lunchtime…

3. We’re just as nervous about commitment as you are.
True, many girls grow up dreaming of Prince Charming, the white wedding, and happily ever after. But we’re human, just like you, and when it comes down to the reality of tying our life to another person’s, we get scared, too. “The idea of getting married completely freaked me out at first,” says my friend Lisa, 34. “I know this sounds like a guy cliché, but I saw it as giving up my independence and being tied down.” The good news is, once we’re hitched, we’re generally pretty delighted about it. Says Lisa, “Now that I am married, having a life commitment is so comforting and wonderful. I love knowing that we are a team and that we’re going to be on the same team forever.”

4. We may be modern and independent, but we still want you to be “the man.”
We do want you to be sensitive, caring 21st-century males, but even the most ass-kicking, take-no-prisoners woman still wants to feel taken care of by her man somehow. Whether that means you take charge in bed, know how to fix the car and kill spiders, or even just carry the big suitcase when we’re on vacation—when you act all manly, even if you’re 98 pounds soaking wet, it makes us feel more feminine, more safe.

“I love that my friends and family always comment on how my husband opens the door for me and does all kinds of other chivalrous things—especially when I was pregnant, when he was so protective of me and my belly,” says Lorraine, 29, of New Hartford, NY. “At the end of the day, being in his strong arms is definitely a good feeling, no matter how independent I know I am.”

5. Our ex-boyfriends were not completely terrible in bed.
You know how we’re always telling you things like, “No one does it like you do”? Um, yeah. Well, we may have been stretching the truth just a teensy bit. But we’ll never actually tell you that a past lover was a bedroom dynamo—we’re smarter than that. Just know that whatever toe-curling orgasms the other guy gave us, sex with you really is a million times better—because it’s you, and you’re the one we really want.

6. We’re scared that we’ll turn into our mothers.
We love our mothers, really. We admire them, we’re grateful to them, we think they’re the most amazing women on the planet. We just don’t want to be them. That’s why one of the worst insults you can hurl at a woman is, “You’re acting just like your mother.”

But here’s one that’s even worse: “You’re acting just like my mother.” It sends a horrible oedipal shiver down our spines—did he marry me because I’m like his mom? Will he start expecting me to cut the crusts off his PB&J? So please, if you value your sex life, never ever compare your wife to your mother. Out loud, anyway.

7. We want you to be jealous—but just a little bit.
We want you to notice—and care!—when the waiter flirts with us, or when other guys check us out on the street. It makes us feel that we matter to you. But please don’t get all Neanderthal and possessive on us. “I’m very loyal, and if my guy can’t understand that I would never do anything with anyone else, then that just makes me mad,” says Paulina, 22, from Brooklyn. So, to recap: Raising your eyebrows when we introduce you to our cute coworker—good. Punching him out—very, very bad.

8. Yes, we fantasize about hot celebrity guys, but that doesn’t mean we want you to be them.
Christian Bale is sexy and all, but can you imagine having to clean that Batcave?

9. We tell our girlfriends more than we admit to you (but less than you fear).
Yes, we tell them about the latest marital spat, complain about our mothers-in-law, and sigh over the hobby that sucks up all your free time. But we don’t tell them how big your you-know-what is or that you cried in our arms when your dad died. Some things are just too important and intimate to share. “I definitely don’t tell my girlfriends details like what my husband said when he proposed, the feeling I have every time I see him look at our daughter, and the little wonderful things he does for me every day,” says Lorraine. “Those are just for me.”

10. We really do notice and appreciate all the chores you do.
Why don’t we say so often enough? Because we can’t get over all the things you don’t do. My husband, for example, is incredibly diligent about keeping a 6-by-10-foot carpeted patch of our apartment vacuumed and cat hair–free, and I love that. But it kills me that it never occurs to him to dust the furniture sitting on top of that piece of carpet, or to sweep the hardwood floor adjoining it.

Blame our lack of positive feedback on that stubborn female belief that there is Only One Right Way to do any given household task—our way. It’s probably the real reason why men don’t shoulder a greater share of housekeeping duties; we complain about how you did it wrong, so you never want to do it again. (Sounds familiar, right?) Let’s make a deal: You promise to dust the lampshade (or wipe down the kitchen counter after you wash the dishes, or take out the garbage and then put a new liner in the can) once in a while, and we promise to sing your praises. Agreed?

11. We love you with all our hearts, but we still get wistful about the fact that we’ll never feel that falling-in-love sizzle and spark again.
I’ll just come right out and say it: Most women are love addicts. And while we appreciate the depth and richness of long-time love, there is simply nothing like the giddy, fluttery, crazy feeling we get (or rather, used to get) with a brand-new guy. We know we’ll never feel that high again, and there’s a little part of us that will always miss it. (Why do you think we watch so many romantic comedies?) But in the end, what we get instead—you, and a lifetime of true devotion—is more than worth the price.

When you have to have the brown cow in the worst way...

Ok so I’m a hardcore gamer..my games of choice being “Cafe World” and “Country Life” both on Facebook…I’ve been playing both since, oh I’d guess around October of 09…I’ve reached high levels and coinage in the millions…life is good!

Anyway on these games they reward you with game coins with each new level you reach…(except Cafe World, they want you to buy them with your own real money) so getting back to County Life, I’ve been eyeing these 2 cows that are brown, the cow that comes with the game is grey and black…very boring to look at…yet the cows that are brown you have to pay with RanchCash…these cows also produce milk faster than the cheap ugly cows…so of course I want the brown cows in the worst way…

I’m trying to give background on this game so that the story I’m about to tell will make sense to those that do not play these games….I hope I’ve made sense so far…

Now being I only had a few Ranch Cash coins I did not have enough (55 coins needed) to purchase the brown cow…however you can either wait and level up, purchase them through using Paypal or you can fill out forms and get the points for free….so taking the cheap, fast way out I opted to fill out a form…I read through the list and the only one that I could possibly fill out was for getting health insurance quotes….easy enough right?….Afraid NOT! I will tell you why…..

I fill out the form and sure enough in 15 minutes I now have enough Ranch Cash to purchase the 2 brown cows I have been eyeing for months…the form asked for a phone number to verify, so I give John’s cell phone number because I didn’t want to give the house number…I asked John’s permission first and he protested immediately saying I could not give his number, but I assured him that they were only calling to verify and that would be it…..

Within 5 minutes of filling out the form we received the phone call…the phone rang, John gave me a sort of evil look while handing me the phone, I answered questions then told them I was no longer interested….I then went back to my game and enjoyed my 2 new cows….

That was about 2 or 3 days ago, I sort of forget now…menopause.

Since then John’s phone has been ringing all day and night with calls from different insurance agents….imagine the horror! He hands me the phone and I explain to the agent that I’m very annoyed with all these calls and come to find out when you fill out the forms your email address gets sent to all the agents who have signed up for this service, which they pay I think he said $10.00 a lead…the agent told me to expect maybe 2 more days of phone calls…

In the meantime, I say I’m sorry to John everytime his phone rings….I guess I owe him big time now….I just hope he’s easy on me because pay back is a bitch!

Facebook Receives More Visits in US Than Google

Facebook is now the most popular site in the US, having overtaken Google in terms of site visits in the week ending March 13, according to Hitwise.

The figures come after Facebook recorded more visits than Google on a handful of days over Christmas, and had two days at the top in March. Facebook attracted 7.07% of all US visits in the week, says Hitwise, while Google accounted for 7.03%. Though Google’s share of total visits is up 9% year-on-year, Facebook’s share has risen 185%.

Facebook’s rapid growth means it is an increasingly powerful source of content discovery, potentially challenging Google. The network is now the fourth-largest source of clicks to news sites after the three main search engines, and there is evidence that more than half of all users prefer to receive news through recommendations on sites such as Facebook. The network is also developing new advertising techniques and products which use the complex web of data built up by its users. If these techniques prove successful, they may eat into Google’s core search ad revenue.

“To the extent that many of these eyeballs are moving to social platforms, and Facebook in particular, that is certainly a threat [to Google],” says Ovum senior research fellow Jonathan Yarmis, talking to StrategyEye. “More important, though, is how platforms like Facebook and Twitter are being used instead of searching on Google.”

“As we spend more and more time mining our social networks for information, and not just mindless banter, a category of searches where we once would have gone to Google now go to our social community,” he continues. “In social networks, we have a platform that’s the most credible – our peers and people like us – and has the volume of the leading advertising platform. That is the huge threat, not just to Google but to all of advertising.”

The Hitwise figures support predictions that real-time and social search will become increasingly important. The rise of social and real-time content creates a new area distinct from the pages that have until now comprised the vast bulk of information available on the web. This threatens to undermine Google’s grip on the internet. Google seems to be aware of the trend and has made recent moves into social media with Google Buzz. It is also working on a number of real-time and social search products.

Facebook’s continuing rise is likely to encourage Microsoft. The software giant powers Facebook’s search service and has close links to the network after investing USD240m in the firm in 2007. Microsoft is at less of a disadvantage to Google in terms of real-time and social search than in page search. The threat Facebook poses to Google will also help distract the firm from its ongoing battle with Microsoft across many sectors.

When you combine 2 things that you love doing...

I decided to start up a recipe website again. I had one for years on AOL…along with the recipe, I added a picture of the dish. My kids got a kick out of me how I would take a picture of all the food I would make and then put it on my website…but I love cooking and I love working on websites, making graphics etc….it’s my work and a hobby combined into one I guess you can say….

Now that my kids are grown (Mike just turned 18) my baby….and they are gone…moved onto a new and exciting life for themselves…anyway, life does go on when the kids move out…so now instead of cooking for a troop, I cook on a much smaller scale…but I still love to cook. One of my favorite TV shows is the Food Network, the Travel Channel where they have all the nice cooking episodes.

The only problem is when the refridge is low on food and I sit myself in front of the TV watching these food channels and I want every food that I see…and my only option in my house happens to be something boring like crackers…don’t you hate that!

Anyway, I’ve always had such a love for cooking and want to share my recipes…feel free to stop by.

Due to the great response and shocking remarks by Rozzie Franco and Richard Hornsby on last weeks show they will be my guests again tomorrow night. Air date 3/21

Steph Watts’ radio show Sunday was titled “Blood Money”. His guests were Rozzie Franco and Richard Hornsby. The show was very interesting. What’s most interesting is what Mr. Hornsby had to say about Cheney Mason’s track record and they discussed these types of lawyers that take these high profile cases and of course the “Blood Money”. They also touched base on the letters. It’s an hour long, but it’s well worth the listen.

When smiling behind a sad face...what can you admit to?

What are people hiding behind a smiling face? Sometimes I think the happier someone seems, the more they are hiding, hiding behind the grin. How many times have we learned someone’s marriage is breaking up or their kids are doing drugs, drop out of school or what ever and we think to ourselves, wow I thought they had it all together…we try to mask the sadness from the world.

I was watching Kathie Lee and Hoda this morning and one of the subjects they touched on was, were people really happy 40 years ago like they said they were…like the 50′s housewife who walked around thinking everything was just peachy keen and life was great…back then you couldn’t admit your family was dysfunctional…

For many years I’ve fell into the catagory of nothing is wrong in my life and my family is perfecct…yet when my marriage fell apart I had to explain to those around me that is was less than perfect…and then of course having to rebuild my life after a divorce…it was one of the hardest years of my life…I went from living at home, to getting married young, raising children and then divorced twice…my kids grew up and moved out during this period and in a matter of months I found myself totally alone…during the day I seemed to cope ok…but at night, laying in bed alone and no one in the house was the hardest to get thru…many sleepless nights. It’s as if I had to in a way reivent myself because for the better part of my life I had been a wife and mother…and although I will always be a mother, I am single and was living alone and had to learn a different way of living…

For the most part I am a happy person with a positive attitude towards life and my living situation…yet I do reflect of past memories of my family unit intact and I will feel a bit emotional…I miss having the kids around me…I miss cooking for a family, I miss the hugs, kisses, tears, laughter…watching TV with a family…dinners around the table…so I think about the positive and I’m thankful that I was blessed with 3 beautiful children that I’m so proud of….I have 2 grandchilden who I love more than I could ever have imagine…everyone turned out ok and for that I am so thankful.

So the mask that I wear is that I am a happy person on the outside, and on the inside I am finally content, I can readily admit my life is not perfect…I am sad when I think of my kids out and on their own, yet proud that they turned out to become productive people.

40 years ago you couldn’t admit to a less than perfect family because that made a woman feel like a failure…today I can say none of us are perfect but I love them just the same. My failure is not admitting my imperfections years ago….

I'm making roasted onions tonight to go along with my rotisserie chicken.

This will be the first time I’m making a rotisserie chicken in my new toaster over…I’m going to include pictures later on today of my new oven and of the chicken in the stages of cooking…but I wanted to add the recipe for the roasted onions here for you….

Yesterdays cabbage soup came out delicious and we are just finishing it up today…if you are on a tight budget, this is a great recipe to make because it cost hardly anything to make….I just added a packet of onion soup mix, carrots, celery, onion, a bit of tomato sauce and worcestershire sauce…parsley, salt and pepper…on the side I made elbow macaroni. You never add noodles or rice to the soup pot because it will absord all of the water…you add the pasta to your soup bowl and then add the soup on top, then stir..

Roasted Onions

Ingredients

4 medium unpeeled yellow onions

2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Adjust oven rack to lowest position; heat to 425 degrees.

Cut onions in half; toss with oil and a generous sprinkle of salt and pepper. Place, cut-side down, on a lipped cookie sheet.

Roast until tender and cut surfaces are golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Adjust seasonings; drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

The shocking abuse was caught on tape by Nanny Cam.

In the video, you can see 53-year-old Jeannine Campbell hitting the child repeatedly and at one point, even violently throwing him into his play pen.

The parents of the boy told investigators they noticed a black eye on one of their children eight weeks ago. And when Campbell couldn’t explain it, they installed the camera.

Campbell’s husband says the allegations are hard to believe.

Campbell faces battery charges on a child. She remains in jail on $75,000 bond.

I'm making Cabbage Soup today in my wonderful crockpot.

I love to shop at thrift stores…you just never know what you are going to find…which brings me to my beautiful crock pot…I found this treasure around 2002, still new in the box at the local thrift store…it’s one of the largest they make and being we were a family of 5 I needed something big enough to feed a large family….

My kids have all since grown up and moved out, and yes I suffered terribly from empty nest syndrome for a long time…but anyway, getting back to my crock pot…I bought it for under $5.00…I cannot tell you how many delicious dinners I’ve made it in…I am famous for my extensive google searches and found so many recipes you can cook with it…

Crockpots are wonderful if you are a working woman and would like your dinner done when you get home…you can set it on low and let it cook for a good 8 hours…or if you are home, or will be home in about 5 hours you can set it on high…even though I work from home (website business) I still cook in my crockpot…many dishes I just throw together without a recipe…I’ve been cooking for so many years that I’m now talented enough to do that….a little of this and a little of that…this cabbage dinner is one of those this and that recipes lol…

Another reason for cooking this way is that the flavors are not only intensified, but the meat is very tender from cooking low and slow….my stews, chili and soups come out more flavorful than if I cooked them in a pot on the stove…

I also have a large toaster oven that I bought just recently which has a rotisserie for a whole chicken…I plan on making that tomorrow and my hope is that it will be tender and the flavors will burst with joy…

The truth is I’m hoping it will taste as good as the rotisserie chicken I buy at my local supermarket!

The Orange County jail Friday launched its own investigation into at least one corrections officer accused of helping Casey Anthony exchange letters with her jail pen pal. But Casey probably won't get in trouble for that pen pal, even though the rules of her high-risk solitary confinement were broken.

VIDEO REPORT: Letters Lead To Investigation

The jail’s policy places the blame on jail guards for this kind of thing if they were involved, so Casey might not face any repercussions.

Jail guard Silva Hernandez might, though. This happened about a year ago and Hernandez had already been transferred from Casey’s building before this came to light.

“Orange County Corrections has started an internal investigation into issues uncovered in an FDLE investigation mentioned in court documents yesterday. The court document indicates that letters or notes were passed between Casey Anthony and at least one other inmate,” Allen Moore wrote in a release from Orange County Correction emailed Friday afternoon.

The director of the Orange County jail was told late Thursday to start an internal investigation into allegations that surfaced during the Casey Anthony murder investigation that a jail guard helped Casey and another inmate exchange letters, which is not allowed.

“I think it’s very serious. That’s not what they’re there for. They’re there to protect everyone. If they’re in protective custody, that’s what it means,” Orange County Public Safety Director Mike McCoy said.

Casey is in protective custody in the female detention center, Dorm L, which is where jail guard Silva Hernandez worked for a year, starting January 2008 when she was hired. Casey was there at least since October 2008.

Investigators say they have 50 notes and letters Casey passed to Adams, apparently with the guard’s help. They say Adams gave those letters to a mysterious third party.

Orange County Deputy Anthony Whitmore was also interviewed by FDLE for as of yet unknown reasons. Whitmore was hailed as a hero almost six years ago for helping rescue a badly injured officer, but has also been investigated twice by his department, once for allegedly stealing a magazine.

Hernandez works at the jail’s booking center and will stay there during the investigation. She and any others who might have been involved could face discipline, but probably not criminal charges.

The defense has 14 days left to file a motion if it wants to keep Casey’s pen pal letters sealed.

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation found that Casey befriended two inmates in dorm L, Maya Derkovic and Robyn Adams. Derkovic later admitted to choking a 15-year-old girl to death while someone else held her down. Adams was convicted of federal drug charges, along with her husband, a former Altamonte Springs police officer.
